Reyna Rios plays the lead in Reconquista as Carmen Velasco. She's a Spanish resistance fighter just out of an Islamic prison. 

Reyna is a Mexican born actress based in Minnesota. She studied the performance arts throughout her schooling. Ms. Rios married in 2009 and focused on her family life.

Since her return to acting in 2012, she has regularly appeared in Twin Cities theater and film. Her recent credits include:

Adrain Washington plays Imam Hamza Allal, a Muslim Imam from Morocco who is making his way to Rome on a mission of peace.

Adrain is an actor, producer, and humanitarian with a commanding presence on screen, stage, and television.

Adrain has balanced his film and television experience with a number of stage productions. In 2006 his perseverance and determination caught the attention of director Ridley Scott who cast Washington in American Gangster.

Getting started at Hampton University under Prof. Paul Patton, Adrain has also received training from a multitude of programs around New York City such as NYU, New Federal Theater, and the Negro Ensemble Company, including classical training from The Classical Theater of Harlem.

Adrain has a number of film and television projects slated to be released between 2016 and 2017.

Pedro Juan Fonseca plays Carmen's brother, a Catholic priest managing a refugee center in the port city of Cadiz. 

He can be seen daily at the Science Museum of Minnesota performing plays as a member of Science Live Theater. He was also the lead understudy in Children's Theatre Company's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and appeared as an essential in the Guthrie’s production of Othello directed by Marion McClinton.

Most recently, he appeared in a national commercial for Pepsi and Buffalo Wild Wings alongside Teddy Bridgewater of the Minnesota Vikings.

He has B.A.’s in Theatre and in Cinema Studies from the University of Minnesota and is an Equity Membership Candidate (EMC) with the Actors' Equity Association.

In his free time, he writes screenplays and cuddles his dachshund.

Maia Hernandez is one of the Twin Cities “go-to” young performers. In her brief career, she has appeared on stage, in television roles, commercials, and films.

Maia has been a long-time member of Circus Juventus and has played roles for Guthrie Theater, Children’s Theatre Company, Jungle Theater, and other regional theaters. Her work includes productions such as A Christmas Carol, Annie, Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan: The Musical, and Two Gentlemen of Verona.

She is a junior honors voice recitalist at MacPhail Center for Music and her commercial acting includes work for Nickelodeon Universe, Sears, and Stuffies.

Her first television role is forthcoming in the second season of ABC’s In an Instant.



David Leandro was born in Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. His family moved to the United States when Mount Pinatubo erupted in 1991.

As a hobby on the weekends and during days off from work, Mr. Leandro began working on films and music videos locally in Minneapolis/St. Paul as an extra. After working as an extra for almost two years, he decided to try and pursue more principle roles in acting. Mr. Leandro’s other hobbies include men's fashion, alternative medicine, video games, working out, scene study and karaoke. His favorite foods are Italian and Traditional US Southern Dishes.

Mr. Leandro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.

Babatunde Oyewo is a 34-year old actor who has been modeling since he was the age of two.

Recently, Mr. Oyewo has moved beyond modeling and into acting. He is currently in pre-production and production for several Twin Cities short film efforts.

Mr. Oyewo has 15 years of experience in the martial arts with a black belt in tae kwon do and muay thai kick boxing.
